Richard Digance
2025 and Richard Digance has been on the planet for 76 years, on stage for 59 of them. If this BAFTA Nominated entertainer and a recipient of The Gold Award from The British Academy of Composers and Songwriters doesn't have songs to sing or stories to tell then it would be a shock to one and all.
He has released 45 albums, written 24 books and composed audiobook music and songs for Bill Bryson. He has worked in America with movie star Steve Martin and recalls two of his greatest moments as playing The London Palladium with Robin Williams and a guitar duet on TV with Queen guitarist Brian May.
2024 are a year of concerts at his favourite venues, art exhibitions and an attempt at finishing his third play. You are invited to join him.
His TV career spanned 17 years, culminating with his own ITV show for London Weekend Television, on which he played a guitar duet with Queen’s Brian May, as well as playing with Status Quo and The Moody Blues. He has also appeared on Channel 4s Countdown nearly 200 times. He supported movie legend Steve Martin in America and the legendary Robin Williams at The London Palladium, where he also supported Roy Orbison and even tuned the legend’s sacred red guitar.
